As an Administrative Assistant, Ethics & Independence will include:
Assist in all steps of personal independence audits and reporting as required by department needs Maintain electronic files and documents, logs, tracking spreadsheet, emails, Microsoft booking and calendars, including formatting, redacting, and organizing documents Become proficient in Global Independence System (GIS) to assist with : Producing system generated reports for compliance monitoring Preparing uploads for GIS account maintenance Researching publicly listed entities to add or make changes in the system database Assist in identifying and executing system improvements Develop a general understanding of internal policies and independence audit processes, and work towards assisting with related procedures and reporting Follow-up with colleagues for documentation and to evaluate compliance with instructions and policies Respond to professional and internal colleague requests and provide assistance, including uploading documents to shared sites, using secure file transfer, and general questions about audit documents Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and confidentiality

3 + years of work experience in roles specifically requiring strong attention to detail Basic knowledge of securities and understanding of investment statements Research skills or interest in learning research skills for investments on internet financial reference sites Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, desire to learn, adapt to changes, and interested in a challenge. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills – ability to interact with colleagues comfortably and effectively at all levels of seniority Strong time management skills and flexibility to handle changing priorities in a dynamic, deadline driven environment. Available to accommodate additional work hours on occasion, in response to operational requirements MS Office (Word, Excel, Adobe, Power Point, Microsoft Booking, Teams)

We benchmark regularly across a wide spectrum of roles, industries, sectors, and levels to ensure our ranges are both competitive and current. But we don’t stop there. We also consider the unique strengths, experiences, and impact each individual brings to the table. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $48,500–$63,000 in Toronto. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
Our special culture shines through when we have the opportunity to connect in person. That’s why we’re working in a model where teams are required to be together in the office 4 days per week.
