About the role
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet hotel cleanliness, quality, and safety standards. This role supports the Housekeeping Manager by supervising staff, conducting inspections, coordinating schedules, and ensuring efficient department operations while delivering excellent guest service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff, including Room Attendants and Housepersons.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
- Assign daily tasks and room sections to housekeeping staff.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to maintain performance standards.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Report and follow up on maintenance issues, safety hazards, and guest concerns.
- Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance to prioritize rooms and special requests.
- Monitor productivity, attendance, and adherence to hotel policies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping in a professional manner.
- Assist with scheduling and coverage during high occupancy or staff shortages.
