Your Opportunity

This position is Radiology only at Westview in Stony Plain. You will work with inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients providing excellent patient care while producing high-quality Diagnostic Images in a timely manner.

Description

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications

Able to multitask and work well independently. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. CPR/BLS certification up to date.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous DI experience is an asset. Connect Care experience is an asset. Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute care setting.
