This position is Radiology only at Westview in Stony Plain. You will work with inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients providing excellent patient care while producing high-quality Diagnostic Images in a timely manner.
Description
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.
Classification: Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech I Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Diagnostic Imaging Primary Location: Westview Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.40 Posting End Date: 06-AUG-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 07-SEP-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 4 Shift Pattern: Days, Evening, Nights, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $38.74 Maximum Salary: $51.02 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications
Able to multitask and work well independently. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. CPR/BLS certification up to date.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous DI experience is an asset. Connect Care experience is an asset. Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute care setting.
