Now, we’re looking for a Carbody Structure Design Lead to join our team in St-Bruno-de-Montarville. If you're passionate about mechanical design, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to make a real impact—you might be the one we’re looking for.
Your future role
As a Design Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our carbody structure development for a major project. You’ll ensure design coherence, align with best practices and architectural guidelines, and drive the successful delivery of high-quality, on-time designs. You’ll collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and project management team to bring innovative rail vehicles to life.
You’ll specifically take care of

Supporting the CBS MLE (Car Body Shell Mechanical Lead Engineer) in planning, coordinating and reporting on design activities and related deliverables

Designing products aligned with project, platform and industrial requirements
-
Monitoring the progression of the CBS detail design and space allocations
-
Designing CBS general concepts and space allocations during the project launch phase
We’ll look forward to you for

Ensuring project Mechanical Domain activities comply with QCD (Quality Cost Delivery) commitments

Guaranteeing product performance, manufacturability, serviceability and testability

Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization and Manufacturing teams during Production ramp-up

Defining and implementing mitigation plans
-
Contributing to the continuous improvement of the CBS domain

Mechanical Engineering Degree or technical degree with pertinent experience, with an interest in project management

Proficiency in mechanical design using Catia V5 or equivalent
-
Familiarity with welded structures and geometric tolerancing

Exposure to manufacturing environments

Strong problem-solving and computer skills
-
Proficiency in both French and English
-
Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
