About the role
Operating in the hospitality and restaurant industry for nearly 50 years, Gray Collection is an award-winning group of authentically local hotels and restaurants that offer travelers from around the world the experience of friendly luxury. Our establishments include Maggie Oakes, Jacopo, Vieux-Port Steakhouse, Pincette, Bevo Bar+Pizzeria, Restaurant Gaspar, Terrasse le Perché, Terrasse William Gray, and Terrasse sur l’Auberge.
The Cook assists in the preparation and execution of dishes while maintaining Jacopo’s quality and presentation standards. The role requires close collaboration with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and consistent service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food according to established recipes and standards
- Execute dishes with precision, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Complete mise en place prior to service
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff
- Participate in kitchen cleanup and closing procedures
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team oriented environment
Profile
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or similar setting
- Interest in Italian cuisine (an asset)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team oriented, reliable, and punctual
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
