Sr Brand Manager
The Senior Brand Manager at Bayer develops and implements brand and product strategies to enhance market presence and drive sales within the organization.
Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a permanent position based out of Mississauga, Ontario.
What you will do:
Lead brand strategy, execution and innovation for one of Bayer’s consumer health portfolios to develop, establish and implement plans to win with consumers, customers and relevant HCPs (Health Care Professionals). Lead the development of the divisional HCP strategy, collaborating closely with cross functional team (medical, category, sales, regulatory, etc) to establish the short and long term vision and lead its execution. Responsible for the brand planning process of our brands, including long and short term strategies, brand architecture and fundamentals, activation plans, P&I management. Responsible for the brand P&L, ensuring a sustainable brand growth. Lead innovation strategy, development and execution with excellence across various channels (FDM, Online, HCP). Includes innovation identification, consumer testing, business case development, launch strategy and execution. Together with agency partners and in-house media team, lead development, qualification and implementation of omni-channel creative that resonates with consumers. Analyze business/category/competitive performance to identify external trends and build plans to capitalize against these trends. Together with research agencies, lead consumer research to uncover consumer trends and makes recommendations on how to capitalize. Collaborate with regional and global counterparts to create connections and evaluate opportunities and make recommendations on how to leverage for Canadian market. Manage and lead multiple external agency and internal partners to produce consumer communication strategies and executions in line with the brand strategy. Collaborate with and influence multiple cross-functional teams, including Media, Regulatory, Sales, etc. to execute brand initiatives and implement plans. Lead the development and management of the divisional HCP strategy; leveraging brand frameworks to bring the HCP brand strategies to life. Works closely with cross functional team to identify key HCP target groups and craft the short and long term vision and activation plan. Including media, creative development, sampling, conventions. Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product development and positioning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and R&D, to define product requirements and ensure alignment with brand objectives. Manage the product lifecycle, from concept to launch, including pricing, promotion, and distribution strategies. Monitors and evaluates product performance, utilizing data-driven insights to refine marketing efforts and optimize brand visibility. Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and materials, fostering strong brand equity and customer loyalty. Ensure all activities/events are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, in accordance with Bayer Safety, compliance and Sustainability Policies.
Who you are:
Business degree or Masters degree in relevant subject area; MBA preferred. 5/+ years of CPG/ FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) or similar marketing experience (additional OTC experience a benefit). Strong understanding of the Canadian consumer marketplace and retail landscape. Knowledge of and experience in digital and social media landscape. Has the ability to motivate individuals/team in pursuit of common objective. Strong interpersonal communication skills; able to understand, interact and work with a variety of functional representatives, and can elicit superior performance from them. Collaborates with accountability and an inclusion mindset; ability to hold themselves and others accountable across teams while respecting differences and embracing inclusion. Excellent ability to assess or analyze a situation and multiple data sources to derive optimal path for action. High learning agility with demonstrated ability to act, learn fast and evolve. Able to assess and react to complex technical information. Self-motivating and outcome focused, driving to highest impact outcomes. Strategic management, planning and execution skills; ability to exhibit strategic-level thinking and view the “bigger picture”.

The base salary range for this role is between $118,160 and $168,160. This compensation includes components such as base salary, vacation pay, public holiday pay, potential estimated overtime pay and paid statutory leaves of absence. Additional benefits may include insured benefits such as health care, vision, dental, disability, and contributory retirement savings plans, etc.
T his role also provides the opportunity to earn additional performance-based compensation. If performance-based compensation is earned, the total compensation package may provide an opportunity to earn a Total Direct Compensation (TDC) range of $139,400 and $189,400. This TDC would include base salary and may also include items like bonuses (short-term and long-term incentives) and sales incentives. The estimated TDC range estimates performance-based compensation earned at 100% of target; however actual amounts may fluctuate below or above the TDC range based on company and/or individual performance.
This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, market data and the applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, job-related knowledge, specific degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
