Overview
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring patrons have an enjoyable dining experience through superior customer service. Successful Junior Servers work with servers to provide efficient service to all guests, including complete product knowledge of all food and beverage menus, enthusiastic and accurate guest interactions, and maintains a clean and orderly station throughout the entire shift.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support the company’s Standards of Service outlined in our employee handbook and consistently demonstrate service excellence to all visitors.
- Ensure every guest is met with a warm greeting. With your professional hospitality skills, ensure the highest standards are provided throughout their dining experience.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with standards, in a professional and courteous manner; may be assigned to restaurant or pizza area.
- Communicate in-depth product knowledge of Ravine’s food and wines including all current menus, past products, and outside wines, as well as product sold in the retail section of the winery.
- Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of the Bistro. Including maintaining, stocking and cleaning workstations throughout the shift.
- Responsible for clearing guests’ dishes between courses, and ensuring cutlery and glassware is mise en place before each course.
- Responsible for clearing and resetting tables when guests have finished dining.
- Polishing silverware and glassware throughout the shift.
- Strict adherence to all sanitation policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of hospitality experience preferred.
- Smart Serve Certificate considered an asset.

- Communication: This position requires excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills.
- Customer Service: Willing to go above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction; personable.
- Multitasking: Must be able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks while providing the best possible service.
- Adaptability: Able to accept changing conditions and new information in a fast-paced environment; willing to support other areas of business.
- Physical: Will be required to stand long periods without rest, occasionally lift or move objects over 50LBS.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $16.60-$17.60
- Included in our controlled tip system.
