Overview Shermco is seeking a Locating Assistant
Responsibilities The Employee will be responsible for Locating Assistant duties coordinated by the JLS Group. JLS works as a larger team and performs locates based on the overall business needs of Shermco. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide quality underground facilities locating services to customers across the province of Saskatchewan;
- Ensure a high level of customer service, quality and safety are upheld;
- Will be working in both urban and rural areas across the province;
- Will be responsible to become familiar with, abide by, and to administer the Shermco Health, Personnel and Safety policies;
- Will adhere to Shermco’s Alcohol and Drug Policy as defined; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications:
- Be a recent high school or post-secondary graduate seeking work experience as a Skilled Labourer. Candidates who are currently in the workforce already may also apply.
- Be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities.
- Hold a valid Driver’s license and clean Driver’s Abstract as travel is a requirement of this position.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Demonstrate strong computer and technical skills
- Demonstrate a positive customer service attitude towards MEC clients, stakeholders, and employees.
