How you'll make an impact

Specializes in the management of a cross functional team which works on significant projects through scheduling, prioritizing, expectation setting, and cost management. Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards and meet customer expectations. Manages technical and nontechnical aspects of the project. Assembles project teams and manages resource allocation and day-to-day operations of the project. Manages communications and change management strategies for relevant stakeholders for each project Provides logistical project support, risk management, and progress reporting CAREER: Applies advanced knowledge of sub-function typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include:

  • Managing products, systems and/or projects/processes, and working independently with limited supervision.
  • Facing IT function related problems that are sometimes difficult and moderately complex.
  • Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals.

About you

Required:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.

  • Program/portfolio mgmt
  • Project mgmt
  • Communication and stakeholder mgmt
  • Change planning, implementation, and mgmt
  • Capacity mgmt and prioritization
  • Vendor Mgmt
  • Business/insurance acumen

Located in north-central Saskatchewan, the Lac La Ronge Indian Band is the largest First Nation in Saskatchewan, and one of the 10 largest in Canada, with a population of 11370, as of March 31st, 2021. Our reserve lands extend from rich farmlands in central Saskatchewan, all the way north through the boreal forest to the mighty Churchill River and beyond. Our central administration office is located in La Ronge, 241 km north of Prince Albert, on the edge of the Pre-Cambrian Shield. We are proud of our heritage and our Cree language, and of the educational opportunities, economic successes and social development work made possible by many years of strong leadership.
