Real Estate Development Manager
The Real Estate Development Branch is looking for a Real Estate Development Manager, for an indeterminate position. The position is classified as an RÉ-06 ($94,550 to $127,698 per annum).

JOB OVERVIEW
As a Real Estate Development Manager, you will identify and support the bringing to market, long-term land development opportunities for commercial, industrial, and residential development. Reporting to the Director, Real Estate Policy, Strategy and c Development, you will collaborate directly with other division managers regarding optimizing land use of NCC assets for defining and pursuing various activities to develop and implement long-term land development projects.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in business administration, real estate, engineering, planning, commerce, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in real estate projects requiring expertise in market knowledge (conditions and participants), development opportunities multi-stakeholder negotiations, transactions, and agreements.
KNOWLEDGE
- Of commercial leasing and land development principles and parameters.
- Of real estate market conditions and stakeholders.
- Of urban planning and development in the City of Ottawa and the Ville de Gatineau.
- Of commercial land development and leasing.
- Of real estate transaction negotiation.
ABILITIES
- To think and work strategically to solve complex challenges.
- To build well-developed business cases while working strategically.
- To resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively with other stakeholders.
- Meet tight deadlines and timelines while managing multiple deliverables.
COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrating integrity, respect, civility, and well-being.

- Working effectively with others: Relationships and trust building.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Possess or eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.
- Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB
- Position is in the National Capital Region. The candidate must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
