Corrpro Canada is a technology-enabled Cathodic Protection services companythat provides construction, inspection, engineering, materials management and custom software and hardware to deliver innovative and data-driven corrosion management solutions.
POSITION SUMMARY***:***
Under the supervision of senior personnel, the Corrosion Technician II is responsible for planning and performing duties involved with testing, evaluation, and installation of cathodic protection systems to inhibit corrosion. This position is under the supervision of senior level personnel.
WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Conduct various specific test procedures to gather data for evaluation purposes.
- Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements and rectifier data.
- Understand the complexities of a Cathodic Protection system and how they work.
- Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings.
- Assist senior personnel in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports.
- Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent detail.
- Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables.
- Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations.
- Diagnose and recommend detailed remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and/or Experience: Technical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMPP CP2 with 2-4 years of experience. Class 5 driver’s license.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic mathematical concepts.
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
