Position: Senior Technology Architect
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract) Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking a Senior Technology Architect with deep expertise in Enterprise Tier 4 Mainframe Infrastructure. This role provides subject‑matter leadership for modernization, migration, hardware refresh, software transitions, and operational continuity of large‑scale mainframe environments. The Architect will support ongoing Mainframe KTLO, Data Centre Transformation, and post‑GDC migration activities, ensuring the stability, performance, and resilience of Mainframe systems.
Scope
- Oversight of mainframe infrastructure refresh, modernization, and transition initiatives
- Planning, installation, and migration of Mainframe hardware and software
- Maintaining day‑to‑day operating system and software maintenance activities
- Supporting Data Centre service model optimization, integration, and uplift.
Assignment Deliverables
- Daily support for Mainframe software maintenance, upgrades, installation, and configuration
- Operational continuity for Mainframe OS components and software toolsets
- Support for Mainframe disaster recovery (DR) hardware installation at CO‑LO sites
- Documentation of system captures, root‑cause analysis, and detailed MOPs.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
- 10+ years supporting Enterprise Mainframe Infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience with hardware/software migration oversight
- Experience with large‑scale Data Centre modernization projects
- Strong documentation & communication abilities
- Proven experience sustaining Mainframe KTLO and OS support
- Mainframe DR installation experience Nice to Have:
- Experience working on Mainframe optimization under transformation programs.
