We are a specialty service, truck carrier located in Delta, B.C. who provides general cargo, refrigerated and bulk commodity transportation throughout the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and Washington State. We are a busy and growing company and are dedicated to providing excellent service to all of our customers – and our team makes this happen! From Truck Drivers to Accounts Receivable, our dynamic and supportive team carries out Aquatrans’ success.
Nature of Position:
Full-time permanent position. Must be available to work in the Aquatrans office located in Delta, B.C., 5 days per week.Remote work is not available.

What You’ll Do
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of daily transportation activities to ensure efficient and reliable service. This role supports dispatch operations by assigning drivers, optimizing routes, and maintaining clear communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency.
You will:
- Schedule and dispatch trucks and trailers to coordinate the timely pickup and delivery of freight
- Plan and optimize routing to ensure efficient use of equipment and driver hours while meeting customer requirements
- Monitor shipments from pickup through to delivery, ensuring accurate tracking and timely status updates
- Communicate regularly with drivers via phone and messaging to provide instructions, updates, and support
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to provide shipment updates, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships
- Book and coordinate ferry sailings and other transportation requirements as needed
- Proactively identify and resolve scheduling, routing, or service issues to minimize delays and disruptions
- Collaborate with dispatch and fleet team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations
- Provide general administrative and operational support as required
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatch (preferred)
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with dispatch or fleet management systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Knowledge of Vancouver Island geography is an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Accountability and dependability
