Position Description

The Retail Nutrition Associate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and sound nutrition guidance within their scope of knowledge/training.

Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Perform standard cash register transactions proficiently and accurately according to operational procedures including cash, debit, credit card, and e-commerce transactions
  • Fill orders for special diets and related equipment for customers in store and for shipment.
  • Process ministry funded sales and paperwork as per guidelines
  • Assist in the receiving, merchandising, and rotation of product as per guidelines
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs
  • Maintain efficient flow of merchandise from the stock rooms to the selling area and advise manager of any out of stock and/or shortages
  • Comply with and ensure all loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to established guidelines.
  • Have a clear understanding of the operation's workflow and priorities
  • Provide efficient and pleasant customer service in-store and by telephone
  • Demonstrate usage of feeding pumps and equipment assembly as required
  • Keep abreast of weekly changes and updates of products & store processes

Here's What You'll Need

  • Minimum 1 year nutrition training in a post secondary institute is an asset.
  • Prior retail experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated customer focused, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to be patient, courteous, professional and understand and exhibit patient/customer confidentiality.
  • A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion.
