What to Expect:
The primary objective of this role is to generate net requirements to plants and vendors, prepare the supply plan, and create the deployment plan in weekly and monthly intervals, ensuring the replenishment of R&P materials to meet customer demand. The Supply Planner will take into account network complexity, inventory targets, and all supply constraints. When necessary, the Supply Planner will develop supply scenarios, assessing their feasibility, risks, and opportunities. This is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life:
The Supply Planner is responsible for generating net requirements to plants and vendors, preparing the supply plan, and developing the deployment plan in response to the demand plan. The supply plan is designed to enhance efficiency in quantity, ensuring that service and inventory freshness KPIs are met. The Supply Planner will oversee the end-to-end (E2E) planning process within the SNP Network, utilizing best-in-class planning parameters to ensure flawless execution of KPIs, IMS, and inventory parameters. They will analyze exceptions to make informed business decisions based on priorities or after arbitration, adjusting planning results as necessary. The role involves regular engagement with manufacturing to manage lot sizes, cycle times, and R&P inventory levels, driving optimal finished goods inventory levels. Additionally, the Supply Planner will collaborate with and support the Demand Planner to improve demand planning accuracy. A strong understanding of ERP systems, the flow of goods, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams is essential. The Supply Planner will also optimize shipments, ensuring service continuity between manufacturing operations.
Role Requirements
Candidates should ideally have experience in implementing LEAN concepts and tools, along with a proven track record in inventory optimization roles.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including internal Operations and Logistics, Nestlé Inter-Market partners (IMS), and external third-party manufacturers.
Experience in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Tableau, or similar.
Understanding of the local market, category, complexity, and key stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
Proficiency in relevant planning software and tools.
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Economics.
A minimum of three years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, distribution planning, load planning, or logistics.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively across departments.
Experience in supply planning and associated tools (OMP, SAP APO).
Knowledge of product portfolios and brand profitability.
Understanding of end-to-end (E2E) value chain drivers and connectivity.
Familiarity with other system tools (SAP Business Objects, BW, Power BI, etc.).
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
