Located in the Town of Vulcan and supporting students from Kindergarten to Grade 6, Vulcan Prairieview Elementary School invites motivated educators to apply for the Interim, Full-Time K-6 Complexity Team teaching assignment available starting March 23, 2026. Responsibilities :
- Under the direction of the principal this role will:
- Collaboratively address academic, behavioural, English as an Additional Language and social-emotional challenges within increasingly complex learning environments.
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering targeted instruction that is inclusive
- Provide individualized supports to reduce learning gaps and build student skills in self-regulation
- Provide oversight and direction to educational assistants to collaboratively address classroom complexities
Experience & Qualifications:
- Alberta Teaching Certificate;
- Previous experience administering div 1 and div 2 school curriculum;
- Successful Criminal Reference Check, including vulnerable sectors (within 3 months of contract start date)
Skills and Competencies:
- Confidence, skill, knowledge and understanding of differentiated instruction, student engagement, and assessment practices
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to relate well with students, staff and parents
- An ethic of service to students, colleagues, and community
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to create positive relationships and establish rapport

About Palliser School Division
The Palliser Regional Schools is a school jurisdiction located in southern Alberta. The geographical area stretches from just south of Lethbridge to the Bow River south of Calgary. Palliser Centre houses the Central Office Administration, Maintenance and Transportation Services and is located in the City of Lethbridge. In addition, a satellite Maintenance Shop has been set up in the Town of Vulcan. The division offers full public education services to approximately 8,1000 students from early childhood services through Grade 12. Palliser has 15 community schools, 17 Hutterian colony schools, 10 Christian alternative schools, nine of which are in Calgary on seven different campuses, four outreach programs, an online school, and two dedicated Low German Mennonite alternative programs. One of our outreach schools and a junior high in one of our community schools also serve the LGM community.
