On the heels of our $122M USD Series D funding, we’re racing ahead with an exciting product roadmap and are looking for a Product Marketing Manager , reporting to our Head of Product Marketing, to help us scale.
A Note on Location

The Opportunity
As Blue J’s Product Marketing Manager , you’ll blend your knack for uncovering market insights with your expert storytelling skills to continue to position us to win in the tax research space. You’re excited to become a go-to-expert in our market by developing a deep understanding of our customers, competitors and the unique value we deliver to tax practitioners.
In this role you’ll own our competitive program to better understand where we win today, and where we have opportunities to win in the future. Your competitive research will help shape our product roadmap, enable our customer-facing teams and refine our differentiation strategy in an increasingly crowded market.
You’ll also have the chance to lead the introduction of new features and capabilities, building out thoughtful cross-functional plans and customer-centric messaging that help us drive adoption among Blue J users.
Most importantly, you’ll build bridges across teams. Working at the intersection of sales, marketing, customer success and product you’ll build relationships that ensure we have tight feedback loops that help us strengthen our positioning strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define and own how we bring new features to market including everything from primary research, positioning and messaging to enabling our teams and measuring success.
- Be our internal expert on the competition by monitoring competitor activities, strategies, products, pricing, and overall position in the market.
- Develop and maintain competitive battlecards and other enablement resources that help our team position Blue J as the leader in tax research.
- Manage internal enablement with customer-facing teams to ensure they always have the most up-to-date intel on our competitors.
- Own our win/loss program to learn more about our customers’ evaluation process and the criteria that guides it.
- Work with our Rev Ops team to ensure that we’re actively monitoring competitive performance and the impact of our competitive program.
- Build close relationships with our Sales, Customer Experience, Product and Marketing teams to ensure strong cross-functional alignment to support our GTM motion.
- Create a listening strategy that ensures you’re on top of trends in the market, challenges our customers care about, to ensure the voice of the customer is at the heart of everything you do.
- Communicate the value and impact of PMM internally by creating visibility for your work.
What You Offer Blue J
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a marketing role, a minimum of 2 years in a PMM role is a must.
- Expert project management skills that can keep even the most complex product launches on track.
- Experience owning a competitive intelligence program in the past.
