YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:
- Maintain main engine and auxiliary equipment.
- Operate electrical, mechanical and hydraulic control systems and offshore refuelling equipment.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
- Keep track of preventive maintenance system tasks.
- Ensure application of the safety management system.
- Monitor main engine operation (pressure, temperature, oil levels) and report any anomalies.
- Carry on any other related duties requested by immediate supervisor.
- Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
Our Ideal Colleague Has

Valid Canadian STCW Third-Class Mechanical Officer certificate
-
Valid medical certificate issued by Transport Canada
-
Certificates of competency:
-
STCW Basic Safety
-
Ability to operate lifeboat and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats
-
Advanced firefighting techniques
-
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as an Engineer Officer (asset)
-
Good knowledge of diesel mechanics
-
Availability for long trips
-
Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written (asset)
