About the role

Sinai Health is looking for an Assistant in our Workplace Wellness team Is this you? We are looking for an organized, proactive, detail-oriented and client centred person to fill this role. The Assistant, Workplace Wellness, will play a key role in the coordination, administration, and delivery of workplace well-being programs and initiatives that promote a healthy and engaged work environment. This includes supporting large-scale corporate and employee engagement events across Sinai Health, our monthly wellness programming, and overseeing our fitness centres located at both of our hospital campuses.

In This Role You Will

  • Provide excellent customer service and a positive experience to Sinai Health employees, physicians, scientists, learners and volunteers when performing a variety of administrative functions including responding to internal and external queries, as well as at in-person events
  • Oversee our two campus fitness centres, and lactation room
  • Support the various functions of the department, including but not limited to: monthly wellness programming, people recognition events, vendor management, invoices, our EFAP program and other employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of correspondence e.g., engagement programming
  • Support the management of our shared inboxes
  • Develop and maintain program files and folders
  • Gather and enter data for tracking, reporting and planning
  • Coordinate room bookings for events and programming, and manages logistics including registration, preparing materials and tracking attendance
  • Manage and update applicable sections of the internal portal/intranet including but not limited to our Workplace Wellness and EFAP pages
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required

Job Requirements Mandatory

  • Successful completion of a college diploma in relevant area of study (e.g. wellness, health promotion, wellness, event planning, human resources, kinesiology, etc.) from a recognized educational institution
  • 1 year of experience in a related role
  • Applicants with proven equivalent and related training and experience may also be considered

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a large and complex unionized healthcare environment

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Advanced technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience working with applications such as Zoom, Miro, other online collaborative software and social media platforms
  • Demonstrates attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to professionally represent Sinai Health; commitment to cultivating culture of inclusion and belonging
  • Proven ability to make decisions, exercise judgment and take initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries
  • Demonstrates satisfactory work performance and attendance history
