**Requirements:**Bachelor of Education
**Desired Qualifications/Skills.**The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:
- Proven successful teaching experience in a Division 2 classroom.
- Have a strong knowledge of Alberta Elementary curriculum.
- Possess knowledge and skills in evidence-based instructional practices in literacy and numeracy.
- Have an ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans.
- Have demonstrated ability creating a classroom characterized by inclusion, equity and differentiated instruction.
- Previous experience in establishing strong positive connection with students outside the classroom (ie. clubs and teams)
- Possess superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Have demonstrated support ofHealthy Schoolsworking towards aHealthy PlanetinHigh Achievingschool district".
- Have proven themselves to be a team player and a positive staff member.
- Have training in The Leader in Me (TLIM) OR be willing to participate in training provided and fully implement and support TLIM at Christina Gordon.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and be willing to put in the effort required in the opening of a new school.
- Be flexible and willing to adapt to the inevitable challenges that will come with the opening of a new school.
- Be open to new programs and initiatives.
- Be a reflective practitioner.
- Be willing to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
- Recognize the importance of promoting the school with parents and in the community. -Proven ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining regular positive communications with parents.
- Have skill in involving parents as partners. (parental involvement).
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth.
