Role Summary
PTW is seeking Journeyperson Electricians to support the construction of a new gold mine in Eskay Creek, BC. The project includes the Primary Crusher and Ore Handling areas, with electrical and instrumentation work consisting of cable tray installation, equipment and device installation, lighting, cable pulling and terminations, and work within multiple MCC buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Install electrical systems, equipment, cable tray, lighting, and associated components. Perform cable pulling, terminations, and equipment installations in accordance with project specifications. Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), safety regulations, and company policies. Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance using appropriate tools and equipment. Collaborate with other trades and contractors to support project completion. Complete required documentation, work orders, and reports accurately. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred). Minimum of four (4) years of industrial construction electrical experience. Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and OH&S requirements. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents. Proficient with hand tools, testing equipment, and electrical installations. Valid Fall Protection, BC Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), WHMIS, ESTS, and CSTS 2020. Valid driver's licence. Ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor environments. Flexible to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required. Strong commitment to safety and the ability to work independently.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly wage ranging from $47, commensurate with experience and certification Flights and transportation to site provided 14 days on, 14 days off. 12 hour days, (8 regular 4 Overtime hours each day) Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate Comprehensive extended health benefits after 3 months, including dental and vision coverage, physiotherapy, massage therapyand mental health support, etc. Retirement savings plan with employer matching Employee Referral Bonus Program, offering up to $1,000 per successful referral
