About the role
Agilus is recruiting for a Maintenance Planner in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to plan the multi-disciplinary field execution of contract trades for the repair, adjustment, modification, removal, and/or installation of plant equipment across our Burrard Terminal. This role is critical in ensuring safe, cost efficient, reliable and responsible operations while driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
A Typical Day
- Prepare detailed Task Lists, job plans and quality work packages (as per best practice), maximizing resource productivity by specifying required parts, materials, special tools, rentals, external services, and documentation, with costs ready for execution.
- Develop and sustain effective short- and long-range maintenance plans, modifying for resource availability, completed work, and emerging requirements to reduce unplanned backlog and build planned backlog.
- Maintain, improve, and optimize job plans, task lists, strategies, and procedures using continuous improvement initiatives and techniques.
- Assist in developing maintenance programs and provide input to enhance effectiveness, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and standards, including Management of Change (MOC), , and Manage Mtce.
- Collaborate with Production Unit Team (Operations and Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Coordinator, Reliability Engineer, Maintenance, Plant Engineer, and Program Planner as required to develop and review maintenance plans.
- Regular travel to Burrard Terminal (if located in Calgary), and/or occasional travel to Calgary if located in Vanvouver, as requested.
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Experience in maintenance planning in an industrial or plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, job planning, and resource optimization.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP) is Mandatory.
- Position would be working from Calgary (Regular travel to the Terminals required) , or could be in Port Moody

- Mon - Fri 40 hours per week. Completely onsite position
- Calgary downtown office or Port Moody
- Contract until 06/30/2026 with potential to extend
