Troy is a 2025 winner of the Canada's Best Managed program. Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd is looking for an experienced Manager - Fire Detection to join their Edmonton, AB team! In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing branch administrative personnel, service sales staff, and field technicians.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring maximum efficiency in scheduling, managing, and work performed by all service technicians
- Promoting every phase of the Troy Service operation to all customer contacts
- Keeping current in the area of product features, legislation, and regulations concerning service requirements
- Developing service billings, service expense and service gross margin forecasts
- Responsible for the preparation of business reports for the service department, as required by the manager
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures as well as legislative regulations/requirements of operations staff
- Oversee all health & Safety and ensure that all training requirements have been met
- Maintain and manage branch budget
- Performance and development management of direct reports
- Other supervisory and operations tasks as required
Qualifications
- Post secondary education in business or fire protection detection
- 8 - 10 years' experience in Fire Alarm System Industry ideal
- Service management experience in a technical field
- CFAA certificate is a bonus
- Knowledge of applicable codes and requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Demonstrated leadership ability, fostering a positive work environment
- Strong financial, operational, and staff management skills
