The Opportunity Our Construction Management & Inspection (CM&I) – M/L & ILI team is seeking a Regional Construction Manager - Facilities to join our team based in Central or Eastern Canada .

Reporting to the Manager, CM&I ML & ILI, the Regional Construction Manager - Facilities provides oversight and support to field-based Construction Managers and Inspectors as well as occasionally providing direct supervision and direction to contractor construction crews performing facility construction and maintenance activities on measurement & compression facilities in Central & Eastern Canada.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality commitments are being carried out.

  • Communicate and collaborate frequently with Manager, Resource Coordinator, peer Regional Construction Managers, Subject Mater Experts, Project Managers, Construction Managers and Inspectors to carefully select the optimal Construction Management & Inspection teams for various projects.

  • Provide input to Project Managers on constructability, schedule, and cost estimates to support the efficient planning & execution of various measurement & compression facilities projects.

  • Participate in pre-construction site visits with Project Managers, Contractors and Engineering.

  • Regularly visit project sites across Central and Eastern Regions to assess safety and quality performance as well as adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve process efficiency and reduce project life cycle costs.

  • Work with peer Regional Construction Managers to drive collaboration, consistency and communication with project and construction teams.

  • Provide mentorship and coaching to Construction Managers, Assistant Construction Managers, and other field-level Inspection and Administration staff.

  • Participate in engineering reviews, lessons learned and closeout meetings.

  • Occasionally supervise and manage the execution of projects in the field.

  • Possibility of short / long term field assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Physically reside in Central or Eastern Canada (Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario or Quebec) on or before the first day of work.

  • 15+ years of directly related Construction Management/Chief Inspector or Superintendent experience with measurement & compression facilities projects.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • An equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, P6, etc.).

  • Valid API 1169 Pipeline Inspector Certification.

  • Valid API 1184 Pipeline Facility Construction Inspector.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English & French).

  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and motivational skills within a facilities construction/maintenance environment.

  • Proven time management, organizational and planning skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict.

  • Technical trades certification or Post Secondary Diploma in a related field.

  • ASP Construction (Quebec) Certification.

This position requires candidates to:

  • The regular work schedule will be 17&4 (15 working days, 1 travel day, 4 days off, 1 travel day) or 6&1 (6 working day and 1 day off). Occasional deviation from this schedule may be required.
  • Have and maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract for review.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, to include drug and alcohol testing.
  • Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training (estimated up to 90% of work schedule).
  • Stay overnight away from home base (estimated up to 90% of work schedule).
