YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the VP, Operational Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company’s technology vision across all mining operations. You will ensure that divisional technology roadmaps are effectively deployed, supported by the right resources and well balanced between short-term priorities and long-term strategy. With a global view of operational technology (OT) initiatives, you will also ensure that technology investments deliver tangible business value, strengthen operational performance, and support the long-term strategic direction of the organization.

Oversee the design, implementation, and performance of key OT platforms (e.g., FMS, automation, tele-remote, Operations Centers, AI), ensuring scalability, standardization, and alignment with operational needs.

Partner with Sites, TCT, Innovation, and Corporate IT to define a clear business vision for mining systems and ensure technology delivers measurable value.

Develop and execute site OT and asset management roadmaps aligned with corporate strategy, supported by effective governance, prioritization, and coordination with corporate IT.

Provide an enterprise-wide view of OT and asset initiatives, developing long-term asset lifecycle and capital plans while supporting sites with forecasting, budgeting, and investment decisions.

Define and manage asset lifecycle strategies, including condition assessments, predictive maintenance, and lifecycle cost analysis.

Recommend and prioritize capital renewal investments based on asset condition, risk, and operational impact.

Build strong relationships with mine site leadership and corporate functions to ensure OT initiatives address real operational needs and are effectively adopted.

Influence stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment, change, and a unified approach to OT deployment.

Establish data governance, asset information standards, and performance KPIs to enable data-driven decision-making and consistent asset management practices.

Promote standardization, continuous improvement, and the adoption of emerging technologies in collaboration with Innovation and site teams.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mining, or related field required.

10+ years of experience in operational technology, mining operations, industrial automation, maintenance or related fields.

Proven experience leading large-scale technology deployments in complex industrial environments.

Strong understanding of mining operations, including mobile equipment, maintenance, dispatch systems, and operational workflows.

Demonstrated experience working with or overseeing CMMS/EAM platforms, FMS, control systems, or Operations Centers an advantage.

Experience collaborating with IT on network, cybersecurity, and enterprise system governance.

Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
-
Ability to balance long-term visions with practical execution.
-
Familiarity with OT/IT convergence, asset management/maintenance, cybersecurity principles, and data governance.
-
Degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset.

Bilingual English/French or English/Spanish is considered an asset.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from our Corporate Office in Toronto, ON. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
Compensation Statement
No pay range is disclosed, as compensation is expected to exceed $200,000.
