DXP | HSE Integrated Ltd. is currently seeking a Primary Care Paramedics for casual shift/rotational work for work sites in Alberta. We’re looking for skilled professionals with a background in emergency response. By joining our roster, you’ll be the first in line when projects arise, giving you the opportunity to work with a leader in industrial safety service
Responsibilities
- Provide a quick response to medical emergencies in an industrial setting
- Assess and attend to patient’s injuries; determine a course of treatment
- Provide first-aid or support to injured workers
- Effectively communicate status and next steps of the injured worker to emergency services
- Clean and decontaminate vehicles (mobile treatment center) and/or clinic area and maintain areas in a state of operational/medical readiness
- Ensure all reporting and communication requirements are adhered to regarding incidents, injuries and treatment
- Maintain confidential patient medical documentation and reports as per governing body requirements
Qualifications
- Registration as a Primary Care Paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics
- H2S Alive
- CPR - Health Care Provider (HCP) or Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Non GDL Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s License; Class 4 if working in BC for forestry work
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
Other Requirements
- Physical demands of the role include lifting up to 50 kilos.
- Proof of registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics is required.
- Driver’s abstract required showing 4 or less infractions in the last three (3) years
- Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
