Salary: $22.33 to $26.66/hour
Hours: Day Shift (Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) (subject to change based on operational needs)
Position Summary:
Following Hospital and industry leading supply chain practices, the Receiving Attendant is responsible for; accurate, prompt receipt, verification, recording, storage and delivery of material to its destination; utilize package tracking processes to route and capture proof of delivery signatures; replenishment/maintenance of site central supplies; maintain/adjust appropriate supply levels to ensure continuous supply availability; order fulfillment, preparation and delivery to customers. Accountable for reconciliation, archiving and integrity of package tracking data for auditing purposes. Ensures the receiving area is organized, maintained and secured.

Education/Specific Training Requirements:

Secondary School Graduation Diploma

Successful completion of two post-secondary level courses in Operations, Supply Chain or Materiel Management or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods or the ability to acquire certification within the trial period is required

Proficient in the use of PC’s in a windows environment (Word and Excel Level 1)
Skills/ Aptitudes:

Strong commitment and a professional attitude towards customer service excellence and a team environment;

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks;
-
Knowledge of computer software/hardware;
-
Must possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
-
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, courteously and tactfully at all levels;

Knowledge of safety data sheets (SDS);
-
Good math skills consistent with providing accurate counting of inventory;
-
Ability to converse, read and legibly write in the English language;
-
Familiarity with medical / surgical supplies;
-
Proficient in the use of PC’s in a Windows environment (Word and Excel Level 1)
Experience:
-
Two (2) years recent experience in a medium to large warehouse/production/materiel management setting, preferably in a health care environment

Recent experience / training in handling of controlled / dangerous materials
-
Good attendance and availability required
