Successful candidatesresponsibilities:

• Working with students one-on-one & in small groups in a classroom setting

Teacher AssistantsQualifications:

• Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff
• Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teacher and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
• Understand and carry out oral and written direction
• Work independently with minimal instruction
• Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
• Respect confidentiality
• Practice professionalism with all HSH School students, staff, administration, parents and public
• Be aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures

Hours of Work:

• 6.5 hours per day/5 days per week

Wage Rate:

• $20.15/hour - $28.40/hour depending on qualifications and experience
