Are you a current 3rd year or 4th year PhD student in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science who would like to join a software development team responsible for developing and testing RAN virtualized digital unit software? What you will do
- Develop new test cases for RRM functions such as beamforming, massive MIMO, carrier aggregation, dynamic spectrum sharing, scheduling, link adaptation, and power optimization
- Perform system-level simulations
- Develop, run, and automate domain-level test cases for NR Scheduler and 3GPP Standards related to MAC, RLC, PDCP
- Troubleshooting BB scheduler and L2 stack
- Perform EDA and characteristic analysis on lab and simulation data
- Contribute to developing AI powered RRM features
- Contribute to Innovation and Ericsson IPR
While your main focus will be on SW development, you will also learn about 5G and 6G wireless technologies.
You will bring
- Current enrollment as a 3rd or 4th year PhD student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency in C++, Java, and Python
- Strong publication track record
- Prior experience with software content management tools such as Git
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming, wireless communication, and IP Networking
- Excellent English communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, time management, and multitasking skills
