We’re excited to share an opportunity to join our Property Claims Team as a Front Line Leader!

In this role, you’ll guide a team of frontline claims handlers, reporting to one of our Senior Leaders. It’s a dynamic position that blends technical expertise, customer focus, and coaching skills. You’ll help create an environment where people can do the best work of their careers, while supporting their growth and future aspirations.

What you'll do:

People Leadership & Development

  • Attract and retain top talent to strengthen our team.
  • Support training and development, helping team members grow in their roles and toward future goals.
  • Provide clear direction, set goals, and offer honest, constructive feedback.
  • Lead with positivity and clarity through change.
  • Apply risk management practices appropriately.
  • Ensure technical growth and capability of claims handlers.

Operational Excellence

  • Foster a culture focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Use data to understand performance and drive improvements.
  • Analyze customer demand to identify and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Stay close to the work to understand team capabilities and challenges.
  • Make informed decisions using data and frontline insights.
  • Participate in quality assurance and ensure timely training.
  • Manage internal and external claims risks and compliance.
  • Own team results and understand the impact of key decisions.

Business & Financial Acumen

  • Connect our purpose, strategy, and culture in everything you do.
  • Understand the claims experience and strategic direction.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the customer journey.
  • Maintain financial accuracy and integrity in our systems.
  • Identify and report any suspected fraud or irregularities.

  • Spot opportunities to enhance processes and outcomes.
  • Lead change initiatives that benefit the team and business.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in claims/insurance, with strong technical knowledge in both personal and commercial property claims
  • 1–2 years of people leadership experience
  • Call center or catastrophic event experience is an asset
  • CIP or FCIP designation
  • University degree, college diploma, or equivalent technical experience
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading through change and developing others
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal
  • Ability to use data to drive performance
