Location: Toronto, ON
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid – 4 days in office
Contract Details
Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months (extension possible; conversion to permanent possible) Pay Rate: C$37.00–C$45.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours; overtime as needed Travel Requirements: Not required
Job Summary
In this role, you will be part of a collaborative group of analysts working within a larger project team to strengthen our data management initiative across Enterprise Compliance. You will be partnering with stakeholders to identify and resolve data retention and disposition gaps, helping ensure our practices align with Enterprise data management standards, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide data management and governance support Support Data Retention and Disposition (DRD) remediation activities Ensure data is maintained in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and guidelines Perform data analysis and assist in assessing, documenting Data Retention and Disposition requirements, support data retention and disposition analysis, and support development of Data Management and Data Retention and Disposition procedures Support identification, inventory and cataloguing of existing data assets Manual execution of Data Disposition and Evidencing Identify, escalate and support documentation of project and data risks and issues Build effective working relationships to collaborate with peers and partners on personal deliverables Manage numerous stakeholder relationships and provide support where required
Required Skills
Governance Strong Confluence Project experience (timelines, risk identification) Data analytics and Excel reporting, including some manual steps Ability to manage multiple stakeholders Ability to work independently Strong communication skills
Preferred Skills
Financial institution / banking experience Data management (controls, compliance, understanding of data regulatory rules)
Education Requirements
Undergraduate degree required
Required Experience
2–4 years of overall experience Background with a BA focus on governance, change management, and data
