What You’ll Get to Do The Manufacturing Engineer role at OBE isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to build something meaningful. Responsibilities You’ll lead the development and implementation of best-in-class manufacturing engineering practices across the plant, with a focus on safety, quality, responsiveness, and efficiency. TPS (Toyota Production System) Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions Conduct time studies and line balancing Optimize material flow and plant layout through equipment and production line design Champion a customer-centric approach while enforcing safety and environmental procedures Provide technical support for operational improvement initiatives (SQDPC: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost) Lead deployment of WCM (World Class Maintenance) Champion process engineering for process optimization Collaborate in maintaining workplace organization (WPO) Other tasks may assign Reliability Set up, verify, and troubleshoot tools, machines, and processes Collaborate cross-functionally to establish world-class manufacturing systems Track critical asset downtime, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement countermeasures to improve OEE Support and sustain a critical spare parts program Lead facility reliability KPI improvement initiatives Implement autonomous maintenance strategies Standardize and sustain preventive maintenance (PM) for critical assets Lead downtime RCA efforts and manage downtime tracking systems Asset Management Serve as the single point of accountability for capital projects from AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) generation to asset release Provide scope, cost, and schedule inputs for AFE development Support new product launches, equipment installations, and major initiatives Ensure successful qualification of new equipment (SAT/FAT) into production What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office (MS Project required) AutoCAD experience is a plus Experience operating tools, equipment, and machinery in an industrial setting Certifications such as CQM, ISO 9000/TS-16949 Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, or equivalent experience.
