What you’ll do
To further this important mission, we are looking for a driven and collaborative Design Recruiter to grow and scale our global design organization. You can expect high impact and wide-ranging responsibility: owning full-cycle recruiting on niche design searches, contributing to our geo strategy with talent market insights, and delivering best-in-class candidate experience. This person must be a builder who thrives in a learning environment—unafraid to try new things, embrace new ideas, navigate ambiguity, and welcome suggestions for how we can iterate on our processes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders across the design organization to understand hiring objectives and develop recruiting strategies to identify top talent across various skillsets including product design, brand design, content design, design engineering, web presence design, UX research, and more.
- Help initiate creative and scalable changes to our existing recruiting processes.
- Track and analyze metrics and report on hiring progress to design leadership on a regular cadence.
- Focus on creating strategic plans to attract and engage design talent across different geos.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams like Finance, People Ops, Benefits, Onboarding and Legal to deliver a high-quality and holistic candidate experience.
Minimum requirements
- 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with 4+ years of Design Recruiting experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, including in house experience.
- Experience building high performing, high craft design teams and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
- A growth mindset and truly flexible. You can shift tasks and priorities when circumstances change (at a fast-growing startup, they often do).
- An active and data driven approach to problem solving; you enjoy making sense of the trends and using the insights to better your process to make it more efficient.
- Proven abilities to attract passive senior candidates and build a diverse pipelines across different hiring locations.
- Strong operational rigor with the ability to stay organized amidst change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an appropriate blend of professionalism and friendliness.
Other details
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
Office locations: South San Francisco HQ, Toronto, New York, or Seattle
