About the role
The position holder is responsible for the procurement of parts, materials, equipment, and services required to support aircraft maintenance operations, while ensuring cost efficiency, on-time delivery, and compliance with regulatory and company standards. The incumbent collaborates with multiple teams, manages supplier relationships, and maintains strict attention to documentation and certification requirements.
Responsabilities
- Purchase parts, materials, equipment, and services from established suppliers, and identify potential new vendors;
- Support the team in evaluating supplier selection;
- Initiate the approval process for new suppliers when required;
- Create and revise purchase orders;
- Select the appropriate supplier to ensure fast and/or cost-effective delivery;
- Maintain records of purchase orders and certifications;
- Save invoices for accounting purposes;
- Support the supplier parts return process (core returns);
- Establish and maintain strong business and contractual relationships with suppliers;
- Identify, analyze, and implement cost-reduction opportunities;
- Ensure rigorous follow-up on each request to minimize delays;
- Interact with multiple cross-functional teams (maintenance, stores, and finance);
- Update product data sheets in the database as needed;
- Support warehouse activities and annual inventory counts;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures by using only company-approved equipment and materials.
Requirements
Required qualifications
- College diploma or equivalent;
- Experience in procurement/purchasing management;
- Certificate in aeronautical supply chain management (an asset);
- Experience with or knowledge of Corridor (an asset);
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Ability to read and understand technical certification documents for aircraft components and parts (8130-1, Form 1, Certificate of Conformity);
- Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
- Eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC);
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
