The primary responsibility of the Assessment Facilitator is supporting the Exam Coordinator in all aspects of exam administration, including Alberta Provincial exams, Security and HCA exams, and entrance requirement exams. Ensuring the seamless and efficient scheduling, communication, and administration of all exams, upholding the institution’s academic standards and providing a supportive environment for both students and staff.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):

  • Schedule and oversee the administration of Alberta Provincial exams.
  • Assist the Exam Coordinator with proctoring the Entrance Exams.
  • Assist the Exam Coordinator with communication and scheduling between students, candidates, and staff as needed.
  • Ensure a welcoming and supportive exam environment that promotes a positive experience for all exam takers.
  • Respond promptly to student inquiries and concerns related to exams, providing clear guidance and support to ensure a positive testing experience.
  • Monitor exam environments to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards, while fostering a calm and respectful atmosphere for exam takers.
  • Contact and collaborate with external companies to offer services and host exams.
  • Maintain relationships with external partners to ensure smooth operation of off-site exam hosting.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of exam content and student information at all times.
  • Work with the IT department to set up and maintain online exam systems.
  • Support the Strategic Academic Learning Team (SALT) in their duties to support students academically.
  • Assist in developing strategies and initiatives to enhance student academic performance.

Education and Experience:

  • A diploma in Business Administration or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in business administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint,
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in assessment coordination or academic administration.
  • Familiarity with Alberta Provincial exams, standardized examinations and regulations.
  • Experience in training and supporting practicum students
