Finance Manager

Our personal care and household product portfolio includes baby diapers, wipes, feminine pads, paper towels, bath tissue, adult incontinence products, laundry detergents, fabric finishers, and dishwash solutions. In addition, we manufacture certain raw materials and components used in the manufacturing of these products, including flexible print and packaging solutions.
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Finance Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of our organization while driving continuous process improvement initiatives. The Finance Manager will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, reporting, and compliance while supporting executive decision-making. The ideal candidate has high degree of operational savviness and is comfortable in an innovative manufacturing environment.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day financial operations including the month-end close process, general ledger management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable Provide financial guidance and support to plant management with proactive communication of accounting/reporting issues and recommendations Support Cost Accounting processes as needed Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling to support strategic objectives Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including filings and remittances for GST/HST returns, WSIB, EHT etc. and work with external consultants on corporate income tax (T2) Provide financial leadership to one direct report and provide support to other finance team members Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations Support internal and external audits, tax inquiries, and financial reporting requirements Provide leadership in SAP finance module management and continuous system optimization initiatives
Qualifications/ education and experience requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field 7+ years of relevant job experience in an accounting or finance role, with demonstrated leadership within a manufacturing environment CPA required (CA, CMA, or CGA designation accepted)
Skills
Strong month end close, financial reporting, standard costing and inventory management experience Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment SAP to S/4HANA implementation experience is considered an asset
Work Environment
Prolonged periods of sitting On-site; office environment
Travel
Must be available to travel to other Canadian facilities and US facilities
Safety Responsibilities
Comply with all safety company policies as well as provincial and local regulations, with the support and guidance of Corporate SHE authorities
Estimated annual base salary range for this position is $110, 000 - $130,000 CAD
