Position Title: WIL Compliance Specialist
Job Type: Temporary Part-time Support (TPT)
Duration of Need: 18 months
Hours: up to 24 hours per week

Salary: Payband-8: $32.61(Min)- $37.81(Max)

About the WIL Compliance Specialist Role**:**
Under the general direction of, and reporting to, the Operations Manager, School of Nursing, the incumbent—who must be a registered health care provider—delivers comprehensive health education on all prerequisite medical and non-medical requirements for student placements. The incumbent is responsible for screening all medical and non-medical documentation prior to placement and providing prerequisite screening services, including mask-fit testing, for all students in the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences (FHLS).
The role ensures that students are fully prepared and compliant with all placement-related prerequisites as outlined in affiliation agreements, working collaboratively with faculty to support students’ practice-based education. All collected data is entered into a secure system for periodic review by the WIL Compliance Specialist to confirm ongoing student compliance with placement requirements.
The incumbent performs all duties with strict confidentiality and in full compliance with relevant legislation governing health records and personal health information, including PHIPA (2004) and FIPPA (2012).

Education and Experience

Completion of a 3- or 4‑year diploma or degree in a relevant health discipline.

Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

Preferred professional certifications, including:
-
Canadian Pediatric Society – Education Program for Immunization Competencies (EPIC)
- CPR Certification
- Mental Health First Aid
- Crisis Prevention
- IB Phlebotomy
- Nurse Prescribing course

Experience working in primary care and/or acute care settings, with emphasis on immunization and phlebotomy programs.

Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across multiple modalities.

Exceptional attention to detail.
