About the Role:

Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the financial and business needs of the organization. This position is responsible for producing accurate financial information, conducting analysis, and preparing internal and external reporting for various divisions, the parent company, and third parties. The role includes journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, and contributions to the annual audit process.

This position is for an open vacancy.

Estimated Compensation Range: $70,000–$75,000 annually (base salary + bonus). The estimated range reflects the budgeted compensation for this position. Final offers may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job‑related considerations.

The successful applicant will:

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statement analysis.
  • Manage Capital Assets, Prepaids, assigned GL accounts, and sales rebate programs.
  • Produce monthly financial statements (GL, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) for a wholly owned subsidiary.
  • Analyze and report results against budget, KPIs, and trends for internal stakeholders, parent company, and third parties.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting to Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other departments.
  • Support operational and financial process improvements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
  • Prepare audit working papers and support annual audit timelines.
  • Develop ERP subject matter expertise to improve efficiency and reporting.
  • Manage HubSpot deal assignment accuracy.
  • Support implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including process review, recommendations, configuration, and rollout.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:

  • 2–4 years of finance or accounting experience; small to mid‑size organization experience is an asset.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA designation or active pursuit.
  • Understanding of IFRS.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ability to analyze sales, costs, gross margin, and expenses versus budget.
  • Experience with budgeting and audit processes is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure.
  • Self‑starter with strong motivation and collaborative mindset.
