About the role
The Territory Sales Representative will work directly with strategic end-users, distributors in the Healthcare and general building cleaning markets, and internal Vileda Professional representatives. The primary objective of this role is to drive sales of differentiated cleaning systems while further expanding our existing business.
Responsibilities
-Operate from a home office in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) - enjoy a dynamic schedule with roughly 55% travel, mixing local day trips with some overnight travel. Expected territory to include Toronto, Markham, Barrie, Sudbury, Scarborough, Oshawa, Cobourg.
- Drive strategic growth by developing and executing territory plans aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct direct sales activities with Healthcare and General Building Cleaning (GBC) accounts, expanding market presence. Promote Vileda Professional systems through consultative selling and application-based recommendations. Leverage Challenger Sales methodology to deliver insight-driven, value-added selling strategies. Understand customer environments, particularly contamination control practices, to tailor effective solutions.
- Serve as the primary liaison for key end-users and distributor partners, building strong, multi-level relationships to drive sales performance and align with profitability goals.
- Identify high-volume opportunities for new product development and innovation.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in direct sales to end-users required. This includes a strong understanding of key end-user groups which fall into at least one of the following categories: healthcare laundries; hospital and long-term care programs; contracted managed services; linen/GPO distribution programs; cleaning supply distribution.
- Experience in B2B (business to business) sales, ideally with cleaning tools/systems (healthcare preferred industry). Must be comfortable with cold sales and new customer development, with an aptitude to sell added value products. Experience dealing with industry buyers/decision makers in commercial distribution, healthcare, and/or building service contractors a plus. Relevant prior experience may include roles in Environmental Services (EVS), Infection Prevention (IP), Facility Management.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, CRM).
- Proven ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers, including being an excellent communicator and listener with the skills to understand our customer’s needs and provide them appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial skills with a constant awareness of business opportunities through analytical and creative thinking.
- Must be able to work autonomously with ability to self-motivate, create individual action plans, and possess a winning positive attitude.
