Medicine Hat College invites applications for casual Food Service Workers (Food Service Worker I).
####A little about the role:
Working in a fast-paced food services environment, the Food Service Worker provides exceptional customer service to patrons of the MHC Cafeteria, Common Grounds, Crave, Concession and Canteen. Under the guidance of the Food Services Coordinator, this position is responsible for providing daily food preparation, sales and cashier duties, barista coffee services, cleaning tables, dishwashing, and operating, filling & cleaning equipment. The Food Service Worker will ensure all retail supplies and condiments are filled and stocked and will complete closing tasks.
####Details:
As a successful applicant you'll have:
- High School diploma.
- Directly related experience in a fast-paced food services environment is an asset.
- Alberta Health Services accredited certificate in Food Safety or willing to complete Food Safety Training.
- Math skills and English literacy.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Terms of Employment
Term of Appointment: ASAP to August 18, 2026
Hours: up to 35 hours per week, as needed and as scheduled by supervisor. Evening and weekend work may be required
Wage Rate: $15.69 per hour (Start Rate); $17.17 per hour (Job Rate)
