Georgian has been active in analytics and applied AI since its founding in 2008 and invests across the AI technology stack, from infrastructure and applications to cybersecurity and developer tools. Georgian's in-house AI Lab of 10+ engineers and scientists assist portfolio companies on production AI deployment. Georgian's team brings together investors with machine learning professionals, software entrepreneurs and experienced operators aiming to provide a differentiated experience across the investment lifecycle. The firm manages $5.8B AUM (as of December 31, 2025) and has invested in more than 80 companies. About the Role The Capital Formation Associate (“Associate”) will support the Capital Formation team in executing Georgian’s fundraising strategy across Growth Funds, Breakout Funds, and SPVs while managing the end-to-end LP journey. Serving as the team’s execution engine, you will translate our investment strategy, AI Lab differentiation, and co-investment programs into high conviction narratives for LPs in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. You will be at the center of Georgian’s interactions with many of the largest and most sophisticated institutional investors across the globe. The Associate will lead project management for fundraising and due diligence cycles, with full ownership of virtual data rooms (VDRs), private placement memorandums (PPMs), operational due diligence requests (ODDs), and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs). Additionally, this role will coordinate technical responses to LP inquiries, and conduct comprehensive market mapping to identify and prioritize prospective global capital partners. By leveraging AI-driven tools and CRM workflows, the Associate will manage Georgian’s global investor pipeline, placement agents, and fundraising milestones. This position is expected to offer a growth track toward a frontline investor coverage role. While the initial focus is the technical and operational mastery of the fundraising process, the Associate is expected to transition into independently originating and managing Georgian’s global LP relationships as a steward of the firm. What You’ll be Responsible For Fundraising Materials & Due Diligence Ownership: Own the development and ongoing maintenance of core fundraising and IR materials, including LP presentations, Georgian overview materials, DDQs, PPMs, ODDs, and general management of the VDR. Coordinate across Finance, Legal, and Compliance to ensure all technical fund metrics (IRR, MOIC, TVPI) and governance policies are accurately represented. Pipeline Management & CRM Strategy: Serve as the HubSpot "super-user," managing the full LP lifecycle. Development of "Pipeline Health" reports to identify bottlenecks and geographic coverage gaps, ensuring automated and personalized touchpoints are maintained so no lead goes cold. Investor Research & Pipeline Development: Conduct investor research and prospecting to identify and profile potential LPs that align with Georgian's investment thesis. Development of detailed institutional profiles to support targeted outreach efforts, ensuring the Capital Formation pipeline is populated with high quality leads. Roadshow Readiness & Partner Support: Prepare detailed briefing materials for senior partners prior to LP meetings, highlighting investor preferences, historical concerns, and potential counter-arguments to ensure "Roadshow Readiness." Portfolio Reporting & Financial Transparency: Collaborate with the investment, marketing, compliance, and finance teams to produce quarterly reports and LP Advisory Committee (LPAC) materials. Synthesize complex portfolio milestones, general fund performance, and co-invest highlights into qualitative "value-add" updates for LPs (ad-hoc and cadenced). AI Integration & Process Optimization: Implement and leverage AI-driven tools for process and team workflow efficiencies, content development, and pipeline analysis. Investor Requests: Serve as the first point of contact for LP inquiries, owning the IR inbox and partnering cross-functionally with finance and compliance teams to deliver accurate, well-coordinated responses. LP Co-Invest Syndication: Provide occasional support to Georgian’s Strategic Investments team on LP co-invest syndication processes, including data room administration, transaction documentation support, and pipeline tracking. How You’ll be Successful Portfolio & Strategy Articulation: Independently communicate Georgian’s investment strategy and AI-driven edge to sophisticated institutional LPs. You must demonstrate 1) a deep command of the portfolio by identifying key market trends and financial milestones, and 2) excel at translating complex, technical business models into compelling narratives for non-technical investors. Funnel Efficiency: Drive measurable improvements in the investor funnel, specifically increasing the conversion rate from "Introductory Call" to "Due Diligence" through high impact screening, proactive follow-up, and strategic relationship management. Process Excellence: Lead the seamless execution of ODD and DDQ workstreams with zero-friction collaboration across Finance and Legal teams. You will ensure the end-to-end management of core materials and fundraising operations meets an institutional standard. Data Integrity: Maintain a 100% "source of truth" accuracy rate across all LP marketing collateral, VDRs, CRM, and LP reporting. You are the final line of defense for data precision, ensuring all quantitative and qualitative information is flawless before reaching the global LP base. Intellectual Curiosity: Demonstrate a genuine passion for software and AI trends, with an eagerness to master complex technical concepts quickly. You will proactively engage with subject matter experts in the AI Lab to stay ahead of market shifts and firm-wide innovations. Analytical Rigor: Apply a first-principles mindset to evaluate business fundamentals and technical differentiation. You are expected to synthesize deep dive diligence insights and confidently contribute to discussions internally and to sophisticated LPs. What We’re Looking For Experience: 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, a top-tier placement agent firm, management consulting, or a dedicated investor relations/business development role within private equity. Technical Skills: You must demonstrate high proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (financial modeling/metrics) and PowerPoint/Google Slides, supported with strong technical experience managing and interpreting large data sets, data analysis, data mining, and pattern recognition. High proficiency using AI productivity tools to streamline workflows and accelerate content development is a significant asset. Experience withHubSpot, Deal Cloud, or similar CRM workflows for pipeline tracking is a nice-to-have asset. Soft Skills: You possess the professional polish and confidence required to navigate high-stakes environments and “manage the room” during senior level engagements. You command credibility with institutional executives while maintaining obsessive attention to detail, and the ability to execute complex projects under tight deadlines. Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, commerce, or a related field. Location & Work Arrangement Work Environment: This role is based in Toronto, following Georgian’s hybrid work model which balances focused remote work with high-impact in-office collaboration. Travel: This position requires a willingness to travel globally (estimated to be up to 30% time commitment) to support investor meetings and industry conferences.
