We are excited to be recruiting for a Hotel Sales Manager for Inn at the Forks.
Inn at the Forks is a luxury boutique property situated at The Forks, Manitoba’s premier tourist destination. The hotel features 116 guestrooms and suites, approximately 8000 sq. ft. of meeting and function space, as well as SMITH Restaurant and The Riverstone Spa.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales strategies, client relationship management, and securing new business in corporate, group, and event markets. This role requires a strategic and results-driven approach to identifying opportunities, negotiating contracts, and maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue. Strong communication skills, industry knowledge, and a proven track record in hotel sales are essential for success in this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Business Development:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, group, and social markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business.
- Conduct outside sales calls, site visits, and presentations to promote the hotel’s offerings.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to secure bookings.
Revenue & Strategy:
- Collaborate with the Sales Team and Revenue Management to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and revenue goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales approaches.
Client & Event Coordination:
- Work closely with the banquet and events team to ensure seamless execution of group bookings.
- Assist in the coordination of events, meetings, and conferences as needed.
- Provide outstanding customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.
- Ensuring any client specifications and expectations are met and any complaints/issues are identified and resolved.
- Maintaining open communication with all departments to improve overall hotel operations.
Administrative & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details in CRM software.

Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review.

Represent the hotel at networking events, tradeshows, and industry functions.

Establishing standard operating procedures for sales processes.
