About The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong project management experience in the marine industry to oversee project planning, execution, and day-to-day operational activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with department managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is best suited for local candidates, as relocation assistance is not available.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and project information. Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements. Break projects into manageable tasks and establish realistic timelines. Liaise with clients to define project scope, objectives, and requirements. Assign tasks to internal teams and monitor project schedules. Track project progress and proactively resolve issues. Assist in preparing and managing project budgets. Identify project risks and opportunities and recommend solutions. Oversee procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Act as the primary point of contact for project updates and stakeholder communication. Monitor labour hours, expenditures, and project performance. Prepare and maintain contracts, project documentation, reports, and related records. Ensure quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications are met. Support day-to-day operational activities while providing leadership and guidance to project teams.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of project planning or project management experience within the marine industry. Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Field management experience is considered an asset. Knowledge of industry regulations, best practices, and quality standards.
