Paladin Security is Hiring a Patient Watch Guard!
Paladin Security Group is hiring dedicated Patient Watch Guards to provide safety, monitoring, and support within healthcare settings. This is a vital role for individuals interested in healthcare security, patient care supervision, and building a career in protective services.
📍 Kingston, ON | 💼 Full-Time | 💰 $18.00/hour
Schedule: Continental Rotation (0800–2200 / 2200–0800)
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct proactive & reactive security patrols
- Monitor and supervise patients under care
- Manage conflict and verbally/physically de-escalate situations
- Respond to incidents and emergencies
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, patients, and visitors
- Complete report writing and documentation at the end of each shift
- Enforce site rules, policies, and smoking/parking by-laws
- Participate in ongoing training and development as required
Must be able to:
- Complete mandatory onboarding training with Paladin
- Patrol interior and exterior of sites, including during inclement weather
- Remain calm and act effectively in emergencies
- Operate independently and as part of a team
- Sit or stand for up to 12 hours per shift
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily logs
Requirements
Must Have Criteria:
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (WSIB-approved)
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose)
- Immunization records: MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, TB (Step 1 & 2)
- Ability to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test (requires being clean shaven)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Nice to Have (Optional):
- Minimum 6 months security experience
- Bilingualism (English/French)
- 6+ months customer service experience
- Certifications in Stay Safe training, or willingness to complete it
- Commitment of at least 6 months following training completion
