What can you expect from this position? Reporting to the Associate Director, Air Service & Cargo Development, this position supports the Air Service Development team, in developing and implementing strategies to accelerate Toronto Pearson’s aviation growth. You will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our airport by supporting air service development activities that enhance our connectivity, expand cargo business development opportunities, and cultivate relationships with incumbent and prospective airlines.

As a Student, Air Service Development, you will:

  • Conduct a variety of targeted research and data analysis initiatives supporting our air service and airport infrastructure development objectives.
  • Support the development of business cases and presentations on a variety of strategic topics including route development, tourism trends and market outlooks.
  • Support initiatives with local, provincial and national tourism organizations to advance Toronto Pearson’s goals through mutually beneficial initiatives focused on increasing passenger volume and cargo activity.
  • Monitor and analyze carrier performance, identifying areas for intervention, including new route opportunities.
  • Assist with planning and organizing client and industry events/conferences.
  • Create and update presentations, maintain and update files and records.
  • Organize logistics for meetings and events with airlines and industry partners.
  • Support the Air Service Development team with other assigned projects and tasks as required.

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • Enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution - a focus in Analytics, Aviation, Business, or Economics is considered an asset but not mandatory.
  • The ability to take initiative and effectively collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
