The Senior Solution Architect position is a senior-level consulting and technical leadership role responsible for shaping technology strategies and architecture. This position will be located onsite in one of CGI's Atlantic offices: Halifax, NS, Moncton or Fredericton, NB, Stratford PE, or St. John's NL.

Your future duties and responsibilities

. Lead the architecture design and technical strategy for complex, enterprise-level solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT roadmaps.
. Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery teams, and product owners to define solution blueprints, integration points, scalability approaches, and deployment models.
. Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools based on functional requirements, performance needs, and long-term maintainability.
. Design and document end-to-end solutions, including data flow diagrams, component architecture, and infrastructure topology.
. Ensure compliance with security, scalability, performance, and reliability best practices.
. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering best practices and architectural discipline throughout the delivery lifecycle.
. Support pre-sales activities, including RFP responses, client workshops, and solution presentations.
. Lead or participate in proofs of concept (PoCs), technical assessments, and architecture reviews to validate design decisions.
. Partner with project managers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless solution delivery and successful production rollouts.
. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

. 5+ years in solution architecture or technical leadership roles.

. Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale, distributed systems.
. Deep expertise in one or more of the following technology areas:

• Backend: Java/Spring Boot, .NET Core, Node.js, or Python
• Frontend: React, Angular, or Vue.js Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP

. Hands-on experience defining and implementing microservices, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and integration architectures.
. Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
. Solid foundation in database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).
. Working knowledge of security architecture, including identity management, encryption, and compliance frameworks
. Ability to create and present architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and governance standards.
. Experience with event-driven architectures and enterprise integration patterns (EIP)
. Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and API gateways or service mesh frameworks
. Prior involvement in architecture review boards, technical mentorship, or center of excellence initiatives

Asset Qualifications
. Exposure to cloud-native monitoring tools, machine learning pipelines, or real-time data platforms (e.g., data lakes, streaming analytics).
