The Ivey Centre for Building Sustainable Value (BSV) is Ivey Business School’s Centre of excellence in sustainability. Founded in 2002, BSV is globally recognized for its leadership in research and teaching that contribute to building a sustainable and prosperous world.

Responsibilities
The Communication Coordinator plays a key role in shaping and sharing the voice of the BSV Centre. This role is responsible for managing digital communications, creating engaging content, and maintaining a consistent presence across platforms to support the Centre's mission and community engagement.
Responsbilities Include:
Newsletter Management
- Create and distribute a monthly newsletter using Campaign Monitor.
- Brainstorm, gather, and curate relevant content.
- Design and populate the newsletter with engaging visuals and copy.
- Manage the subscriber journey and ensure timely updates.
Website Content
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information across all BSV Centre web pages.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure content reflects current initiatives and events.
Content Creation & Coordination
- Write and publish articles highlighting key developments and stories from the Centre.
- Recruit contributors and coordinate article submissions from staff, alumni, and partners.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze web traffic and newsletter engagement metrics.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data.
LinkedIn Community Management
- Manage the LinkedIn group for sustainability alumni.
- Approve new member requests and ensure group integrity.
- Post regular updates and foster engagement within the community.
Administrative Support
- Assist with various communications-related administrative tasks.
- Support coordination efforts across teams and projects as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
-
Community College Diploma in an administrative/communication field
Experience:
-
1-2 years' experience providing administrative support and customer service in an office environment
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with careful attention to detail
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements
- Keyboarding skills with the ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on work assignments
- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with a genuine customer service orientation
- Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
- Computer skills with the ability to learn and use software programs
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to create a positive impression while interacting with others and responding to inquiries, by telephone, in person or electronically
- Ability to prioritize and organize a fluctuating work load
