St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centre
The Waterloo Catholic District School Board with a total student population of 38,000, provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12) across the Waterloo Region.
The WCDSB also operates numerous Adult Learning and Continuing Education programs through St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres.

General Description Of The Program
St. Louis' Hairstyling Training Program is recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and is recognized by numerous employers in the Region as a quality program.
The Hairstyling Teacher(s) will report to the Principal of St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres to teach any of the Hairstyling courses.
Course Codes: TXJ3E, TXJ4E
General Description Of Duties
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment during the regular teacher's absence. Deliver prepared lesson plans and supervise students in both classroom and salon settings. At the end of the day, provide a summary report to the teacher Maintain all health and safety protocols in the salon Provide instructional support to students to ensure academic progress. Develop lesson plans and assist with the ongoing assessment of student work and provide feedback as required during multi-day assignments
Minimum Requirements:
Hold a current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification. (If no candidates with an OCT apply, other candidates will be considered). Eligible to work in Canada Available for in-person classes
Desirable Assets:
Have senior qualifications in the subject area (Technological Studies – Hairstyling and Aesthetics) Previous teaching experience Hold a current Ontario Trade Certification of Qualification as a Hairstylist
Location: St. Louis Main Campus, 80 Young St., Kitchener
Program Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45 – 11:45 AM & 12:30 – 3:30 PM
Teaching Format: Compressed Schedule (each class is 3 hours per day)
Hours of Work: As needed
Rate of Pay: $49.07 per hour
