Position Information

Reporting to the Manager, the Assistant 2, Corporate Services is responsible for supporting the achievement of departmental goals through the provision of administrative support, data entry functions, and direct stakeholder support.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, 8 hour shifts.

What You Will Bring

Two year (2) year college diploma in a related field (e.g. Business, Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, etc.); Minimum of one (1) year of related experience, including experience in both Human Resources as well as administrative and clerical experience (booking meetings, billing, and electronic filing); Knowledge of Hospital policies, collective agreements, employment-related legislation (Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, Employment Standards Act, Public Hospitals Act, etc.); General knowledge of Hospital policies, rules and regulations; Knowledge of HR principles in Labour and Employee Relations; Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel; Strong client focus; Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; Ability to work independently and to be a team contributor; Ability to work as part of a large, multi-faceted team within a strong unionized context; Solution-oriented and able to think critically; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Excellent analytical, judgment and problem-solving skills; Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; Excellent customer service skills.

You will stand out with:

Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).

The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills.
