How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

We are seeking a proactive National Strategic Partnerships Manager to oversee and enhance business relationships with a portfolio of private insurance companies and provincial and national public funding agencies. This responsibility includes proactively engaging large corporations (such as those in manufacturing, transportation, automobile, oil and gas sector, large industries, etc.) to establish strategic frame agreements for our services and closely coordinating with their internal teams and insurance providers to ensure comprehensive and mutually beneficial contractual coverage. This pivotal role involves cultivating strong relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their unique needs, and delivering tailored solutions to drive future opportunities and revenue streams.

Account Management:

  • Foster and sustain robust, long-term relationships with key external stakeholders, encompassing third-party payors and funding bodies.
  • Collaborate with Regional Leadership Teams to strategically identify and unlock prospective business opportunities.
  • Formulate compelling business cases and deliver persuasive proposals tailored to prospective partners.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for major insurance companies, ensuring timely and effective responses to their needs and the resolution of any arising issues.
  • Work in close coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure the alignment of organizational strategies and policies with internal standards, while simultaneously fulfilling the requirements of external partners, including insurance providers and governmental entities.

Key Account Strategy and Execution:

  • Identify and prioritize insurance companies and organizations based on growth potential and strategic importance, including associations, service organizations, and charities. Engage with insurance companies, large public funding agencies, and provincial and national health authorities, such as the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program.
  • Advocate for policies that align with organizational objectives by engaging legislators, policymakers, and regulatory agencies, in collaboration with the Executive Team.
  • Promote the organization through lobbying and strategic initiatives, identifying business opportunities to enhance our impact in Canadian healthcare. Advocate for our commitment to ethical, environmental, and social issues to strengthen public image and market access.
  • Target large entities (corporations, associations, industry organizations) for potential partnerships, focusing on transportation, manufacturing, and resource sectors to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement tailored account strategies to meet sales targets and objectives.
  • Monitor account performance to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized solutions that meet client needs.
  • Communicate with branch staff to gather feedback from referral sources on service delivery.
  • Coordinate and participate in initiatives that enhance business exposure, including conferences and tradeshows, to expand reach and influence.

Market and Industry Knowledge:

  • Maintain an acute awareness of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Synthesize insights and feedback to guide internal teams in product development and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team, marketing, product development, and other internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive alignment and coordination of efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on account status, sales performance, and market trends to senior management, providing actionable insights.
  • Engage collaboratively with all internal stakeholders, including marketing and local branch operations teams, to ensure the consistency and integrity of strategic messaging.
  • Serve as the pivotal link to leverage our Regional Network, working transversally with internal stakeholders, and local regions to achieve overarching strategic objectives.

Are you a MATCH?

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in key account management, business development, or sales within the healthcare sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven success in managing large accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including key trends and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as necessary.

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualification and other job-related reasons. This job grade falls within a salary band starting at the minimum of $90,000 with opportunity for advancement.
